I'm a freshman on campus, and I am really interested in joining this group, but i have a class on Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:50. Is there any way I can still be a part of this group?
Coincidentally, my class is not meeting next Thursday so I am going to try to attend that meeting. I hope to finally get to meet and join this amazing sounding group.

Dr. Levine should try giving Mutual Aid - A Factor in Evolution by Pyotr Kropotkin a read. 19th Century naturalist who studied animals in Russia or Siberia or somewhere and concluded that cooperation is a factor in selection just as is competition. Modern biology seems to support the notion that complex social behaviours involving altruism evolve because the species as a whole benefits from individual sacrifices and reciprocity of cooperation, resulting in that species reproducing successfully at a higher rate than non cooperative species.

Hello,
I am a new student at UTA and came across your website online. I think its cool that such an organization exists because I had no idea that there was anything like this. I'm 25 years old, and I graduated a couple years ago from UNT.
I consider myself a freethinker as well as an agnostic. Most of the people I know are christians or believe in the supernatural of some form, and I want to meet some more people who don't so I can share thoughts and have fun in a comftorble environment. 8)
